32 bit Applications on 64bt Ubuntu

Example: Installing Skype on 64 bit Ubuntu 07.10
(As seen here).
Download getlibs and install it.

Download Skype.
Install it without the bindings:

sudo dpkg --force-architecture -i skype*.deb

Then you have to install the missing 32bit-libraries:

sudo getlibs /usr/bin/skype

Done

On my system my Videocam is not recognized, though proper installed.
A great example for not to use propietary software.
